What to know...

Volunteers are a must for all non profit corporations. We rely on our Volunteers to be able to put on many different activities and events. Volunteers often time do not receive the credit they deserve. At Brave Breed Rescue, Inc. you will be apart of our family, and your efforts will not go unnoticed. Below I will go through some things to expect when volunteering, and what the application process will look like.

  • Our volunteers will be dominantly utilized for different events at this stage of our operation. When we do open our rescue facility, volunteers will play a very large role in the day to day operation. But for now the roles a volunteer can play are going to be focused around events, and all of the things that play into making an event run successfully.

  • Along with events, voluntary transportation can be a huge help to us at Brave Breed Rescue, Inc. Sometimes we have a foster parent who is unable to drive a dog to an event. Or there is an appointment or training segment that the dog is needing to attend, and drivers just aren't available. This is where a volunteer could be a huge help.

  • From there, volunteers will be used for different purposes. We wish to find volunteers that are flexible in the help they can provide. With that being said, we ask in our volunteer application where you would like to focus your efforts. If there is one particular thing you are passionate about, we would love to have your help in that area.

  • Volunteer applications must be completed in entirety before we approve volunteers.

  • Volunteer contracts must be signed before volunteers begin helping out.

  • Volunteers have to be 14 years or older. If the volunteer is below the age of 18 there must be a parents signature provided on the volunteers application and contract.

  • We do require a valid drivers license number be provided from those who have a valid drivers license. We reserve the right to perform a background check if we feel necessary. This is done so with the dogs best interest in mind, and for no other reason.

  • While you are volunteering for Brave Breed Rescue, Inc. you are representing the entire corporation. We ask that you act in a professional and respectful manner.

  • If your contact information changes, we ask that you make us aware of that change. It will help us to stay in communication with you.

You must understand that rescued animals, especially newly welcomed animals can sometimes act in unsuspecting manners. In the contract you must sign it ensures you understand this, and will not hold Brave Breed rescue, Inc. responsible for any incidents or unfortunate occasions. Volunteering with a dog rescue has its risks, you must understand this before filling out an application.

We thank you for taking the time to read through this, and we hope you learned all you wanted to know about our volunteer process. If you have further questions please reach out to us at contact@bravebreed.org! We hope to hear from you soon!
